In the Wild

The best proof that a brand works is that other people start talking about it without being asked. Two ball clubs, a pizza company, and a handful of times a reporter or a client put our names in print without us asking them to.
Named in print
Direct attributionMost coverage of a rebrand names the club and stops there. These four are the times our names actually made it into the sentence. Two are independent reporting, one is a client saying it in public before the press arrived, and one is a team release. They are not the same kind of thing, so they are not presented as though they were.
The Roadster logos were designed by Andie Kat and Greg Gallup of Slightly Obsessed Studios, based in Modesto.

the case study
The Bee printed the surname as “Gallep”. Quoted here exactly as published rather than silently corrected.
The branding and mascot design was created by “Slightly Obsessed Studios” in Modesto, Ca. “They created some great branding with the Modesto Roadsters, the newest city in the Pioneer League. I wanted to tap into their sense of humor and boy did they deliver.”
Dave Baggott, Owner & President, Ogden Raptors

Coverage of work we createdA condiment became a professional baseball identity, and the sports-design world noticed. None of these articles name a design studio, which is normal for an alternate-identity launch, so this is coverage of the work, not press about us. The case study has the full record.

Coverage of work we createdThe Gold Dust family has been written about steadily across the valley as it has grown. Only the December 2024 Bee story above names the person who designed anything; the rest are coverage of the client, listed here so the record is complete rather than flattering. The Express identity and the beer label are the relevant case studies.

How to read this page. Four items name Slightly Obsessed or one of us directly, and they are grouped at the top: two are independent newspaper reporting, one is a client posting it publicly, one is a team release. Everything below that is coverage of a client project on which we did the creative work. It is accurate to say the identity was covered; it is not accurate to say we were featured, and none of it is an endorsement of us by any outlet, club or league. Syndicated reprints are separated out and counted once. Headlines link to the original publication; we host no article text or photography. Where a paper is behind a paywall we link the syndicated copy we were able to read and verify.
This page is the curated half. The exhaustive half is an internal media ledger covering every verified item across the whole portfolio (hospitality, church, school and earlier work) with source, date, who is named, and rights status recorded for each. Items move onto this page once they are opened, verified and rights-checked, never from a search result alone.
